If you have a Conceptual Mass Model and try to use one of the options for Detailed Models and vice versa, you may get an error message advising you to try again. This is due to an incorrect option being chosen (eg. if there is no Mass Model in the project but the Conceptual Mass option is chosen). It is possible to have both Mass and Detailed models in one project but you may only choose to analyze one at a time.
Note: the mode in Revit’s Energy Settings mode will be adjusted by the application to suit the model type (Mass or Detailed).
