If this option is selected, the Revit family will be duplicated. A new type will be created by the application using the name of the Glass chosen in the database. The existing element family will remain as before. This will allow this Surface to have a different Glass Type to other instances where the same family is used.
Note: If you later wish to change this Glass Type, it would be good practice to create a new Panel Type/Window family name or return to a generic Panel Type.
This will avoid confusion as the Panel Type/Window created by the application uses the name of the Glass Type used. If this is subsequently changed again ,the glass type may update but the family name will refer to the previous glass type, therefore the name should also be updated manually.
