Glass Types that are already in Revit’s list of Construction Types will update immediately. Some of the entries in the Glass Database may not be in Revit or may not have been previously added to Revit’s internal list.
If this is the case, the properties for the glazing element will not update until Revit is closed and re-launched. This allows Revit to write the new entries to its internal list.
If a restart of Revit is required, a message will display to advise and on re-launching Revit and opening the same project with FenestraPro, a message will appear advising that changes to properties were made in a previous session. If you wish to apply these changes you may click Yes. If you do not wish to update the glazed elements with the new properties choose No. To cancel the changes and not have the message reappear, click on Don’t Ask again.
If Revit needs to be restarted to update, the results in the Surface Dashboard and in Revit’s Edit Type may display as zero. This is because the properties will need to update the next time that Revit is opened.
Glass types that are already in Revit are updated immediately. You may substitute several Glass Types using the Glass Database and then restart Revit. All changes made will be updated to Revit.
